Olympics

So everyone is talking about them... as if I want to be thought of as predictable, or regular. But I have to, so much opinion left unspoken, Grrr! First of all hockey... go girls!! Adding a gold to the count. Then again.... boo boys, coaches too, against the USA we should have put Iginla and Crosby on the same line, and have had luongo in net!!! Jeez!! Anyway, another sad thing was the woman's skeleton, how that girl could have won gold, but she freaking bumped the wall! Arggh! But the one guy one gold... so that's awesome! But good job to everyone who did excel enough in their sport to win a medal, and not make mistakes in front of the whole world. Sorry Canada I love you, your my country and all but we are underdogs. Well I guess we are fourth in medal standings, but everyone else just seems to pwn us! It sucks. Anyway I'm def's certain, that we have slowly been proving ourselves at this home Olympics!!

Uh ow??

On Friday, as usual The Fernie Academy headed on up to the Ski Hill, and dove into our weekly lessons. At like 1:30, (because our instructor usually takes us up the lift a tad late) Sascha and I made it all the way to the Elk chair, strapped into our bindings, which was like SCORE numero uno! Plus Sascha and I were the only two people in our snowboarding group (score numero dos!). once up the lift we had s'mores with a Ski group, my BFF Sarah was in that ski group! (score numeros tres y cuatro!). Pardon my Spanish hahaha. Luckily, because of the group size, the whole class was spent chillin like villains and going where 'ev. June, our instructor even taught us a few techniques!! (score numero cinco!) Then near the end of class we decided to go on whoop de whoop. (My favourite trail, which has huge bumps and jumps that throw you around.... sooo fun!) It was about to be score numero seis! (probably a new record!!). I had enormous speed, and therefore was going to get crazy air!!! But then, the horrible and half-expected happened. I somersaulted! Yup, tripped, and went rolling, yowza! Uber embarrassing too. AAARRRGGHHH!!! So I stripped off my left binding, and gave a few pushes. Slowly, and boringly, with my head aching and spinning like heck. Sad, Sad, Sad, I just hope that this week is better, at the hill on Thurs and Fri!!

Wish me luck my whoopies!!

Um yeah I go to school sometimes........ hahaha awwwwkward!

know how I said I missed two and a half days of school last week?? Well I also missed school today, by going to the regional science fair in Cranbrook BC. My science fair project is really dumb though..... ugh! But my school had to wear the dreaded Dress Uniform. (Ugly dress clothes worn on special occasions at my private school... as I said earlier, UGH)!!! But the way all those dummies in their skinny's and flop hats (only said dummies because they were meano's) looked at us was horrible. Seriously! They were staring with huge ??Psycho Killer Quesque sai?? kinda looks. Jokes aside I wanted to go die in a hole (actually that would really suck, I'd rather have just hid in a hole).
So was it really worth it? Feeling like a downright stuck up twerp in front of a tonne of people who looked way cooler than me. Anyway it was sad, but when I got over the uniform = dirty look portion it was better. So yeah... I go to school sometimes....... hahaha still awwwkward.

Vegetarian?

So today I didn't eat ANY meat, crazy I know, I decided to be a vegetarian for the day. It really got me thinking though, every single time I eat meat and I see something red, I think of the poor animal that died for my pleasure of... eating it... you know? So when my family and I went out to Kelsey's restaurant to eat I had a veggie burger, which is a bunch of soy, made to look like a beloved hamburger of mine. It was good, but hey, it was no burger. Maybe someday I will be a vegetarian, but who knows? Maybe I'll stick to my omnivorous ways. I just do not like to kill animals, so yeah. to be a veggie, or not to be? Just the other day, I was happy with my balanced diet, but now I just don't know.

Love your pondering omnivore.

Snowboarding/ Gate Judging

I love to snowboard, I may not be very good... at all, but I still love it. This week I have been up at the ski hill for three days! CrAzY! Well actually two and a half. Despite the fact that I am currently sick out of my mind, my teacher volunteered me to be a gate judge for a skiing and snowboarding competition on Tuesday afternoon and all of Wednesday, and Today (Thursday). It was .... lets just say, cold. But then again I got in a lot of snowboarding, in the past few days. It snowed like there's no tomorrow, today. Uber powdery! We got first tracks in a few places which was amazing, put once the runs got more well used, it was so dangerously bumpy, I was freaked to toe turn. Love powder... hate powder... but love it even more, hahaha. I am soooo tired, time for Zzzzzzzzz!
